Coorg Coffee was established in 1978 by the visionary Late Mr. T.V.S. Murthy, who was introduced to the coffee industry through his family, which had been in the business since 1944. From humble beginnings, Coorg Coffee grew steadily, driven by determination, hard work, and the application of cutting-edge technology.
In 1999, Coorg Coffee transitioned into a full-fledged industrial enterprise, setting up a state-of-the-art factory equipped with modern manufacturing equipment and advanced packaging systems. Over the years, we have expanded our horizons significantly.
Mr. B.S. Surya Prakash, started his career in Coffee along with his father in 1978. He graduated in Engineering and master’s in Machine Design and specialized training in Quality Control from the Coffee Board of India, he further propelled the business into new territories. Under his leadership, Coorg Coffee’s distribution network expanded nationwide, with exports reaching farthest countries such as the USA and Australia.

Our expert coffee professionals, including certified R-graders, visit these estates to personally select the beans after rigorous testing, ensuring only the best make it to your cup.
The beans are evaluated for Cup parameters based on international cupping standards. We maintain complete traceability of our coffee, providing information on the origin, harvest year, harvesting techniques, as well as moisture content, soil conditions, and rainfall patterns. Traceability certificates are available upon request.
